Into the Wilds: Wargs and Rocks

Just a quick hobby update today! I'm working my way through some 3D printed rocks just to have some fun, easy scatter terrain. I found these on Thingiverse for free and they're just perfect for wargaming. To paint them I sprayed cheapo Grey. Then I randomly washed a few spots with GW washes- yellow, green, brown, and a spot of red here and there. Next came a heavy light grey drybrush over that followed by another white drybrush. Then I just added some static grass and tufts and... done.

I also speed painted some Wild Wargs to bolster my growing Angmar army. Nothing fancy, just contrast paints to get them done ASAP! The fur is various colors: Gor Grunta Fur, Garaghak's Sewer, Aggaros Dunes, and Apothecary White. The skin is Space Wolves Grey. Nothing fancy just slapped it on and done. Didn't even bother with the gaps... which normally doesn't bother me but here, it's glaring! Still, I'm a volume guy so... moving on.

This is all thanks to Andrew, the developer of Tabletop Admiral. Many moons ago he worked on a modular system for his list builder and I volunteered to be the steward of the MESBG data- tirelessly click-clacking away to get your favorite profiles digitized! This builder is AWESOME. I've been using even the earliest alpha versions of it for well over a year and nothing else comes close. Love it to pieces! IF YOU COME ACROSS BUGS PLEASE E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY AT NowForWrathBlog@gmail.com The text below the cut is from Andrew's original announcement on Reddit, and details how to use the build...

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

Ambush at Amon Hen!

Chris and I were looking to get a game in, but neither of us were feeling anything particularly "sweaty", or "meta" and so opted to do something I have yet to try in ME- play a scenario! With my recently completed fellowship we opted for the Ambush at Amon Hen.
