"[Boromir] was a tall man with a fair and noble face, dark-haired and grey-eyed, proud and stern of glance." Following up on my post of Hurin the Tall, Boromir is my second (Well, third, since I have painted Gandalf the White) hero of Minas Tirith. I guess it's about time to start on the tin-can warriors! This was a fun model to paint! Bit of trivia- I lost the horse's front right leg, so that is a 3D printed chop job of a Davale elf-king horse with a bit of greenstuff. Came out Okay but you can tell if you look closely!
The banner was quite difficult. Similar to Gamling, Rohan Standard Bearer, I gave it my best shot but am happy with the overall minimal effort. Not sure what is going on with the cloak in this shot- I think the varnish caught the light and it looks very bubbly; but the model doesn't look that way at all in person.
