Boromir, Captain of the White Tower

"[Boromir] was a tall man with a fair and noble face, dark-haired and grey-eyed, proud and stern of glance." Following up on my post of Hurin the Tall, Boromir is my second (Well, third, since I have painted Gandalf the White) hero of Minas Tirith. I guess it's about time to start on the tin-can warriors!

This was a fun model to paint! Bit of trivia- I lost the horse's front right leg, so that is a 3D printed chop job of a Davale elf-king horse with a bit of greenstuff. Came out Okay but you can tell if you look closely!

The banner was quite difficult. Similar to Gamling, Rohan Standard Bearer, I gave it my best shot but am happy with the overall minimal effort. Not sure what is going on with the cloak in this shot- I think the varnish caught the light and it looks very bubbly; but the model doesn't look that way at all in person.

Stay tuned for more Minas Tirith!

This is all thanks to Andrew, the developer of Tabletop Admiral. Many moons ago he worked on a modular system for his list builder and I volunteered to be the steward of the MESBG data- tirelessly click-clacking away to get your favorite profiles digitized! This builder is AWESOME. I've been using even the earliest alpha versions of it for well over a year and nothing else comes close. Love it to pieces! IF YOU COME ACROSS BUGS PLEASE E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY AT NowForWrathBlog@gmail.com The text below the cut is from Andrew's original announcement on Reddit, and details how to use the build...

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

Ambush at Amon Hen!

Chris and I were looking to get a game in, but neither of us were feeling anything particularly "sweaty", or "meta" and so opted to do something I have yet to try in ME- play a scenario! With my recently completed fellowship we opted for the Ambush at Amon Hen.
