Warg Riders on the Storm

Just a quick post today highlighting some Warg Riders! Definitely not my best work, but I am often comforted with the thought that "done" is better than "in progress", so I'll take it. Besides, I was on a bit of a time crunch as Andrew wanted to incorporate some Warg Riders in his final Mordor list for the Escalation tournament finale.

Like the previous Wargs, the beasts themselves were mostly contrast paint while the riders were a fairly simple traditional "block and wash". I'm pretty bad about not giving Orc models much attention- it somehow feels right!

I opted to give them all shields and throwing spears as I prefer a uniform force and that seems like the most optimal. I do have 3 more metal ones which I will eventually do with bows as Trackers on wargs.

Thanks for reading!

This is all thanks to Andrew, the developer of Tabletop Admiral. Many moons ago he worked on a modular system for his list builder and I volunteered to be the steward of the MESBG data- tirelessly click-clacking away to get your favorite profiles digitized! This builder is AWESOME. I've been using even the earliest alpha versions of it for well over a year and nothing else comes close. Love it to pieces! IF YOU COME ACROSS BUGS PLEASE E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY AT NowForWrathBlog@gmail.com The text below the cut is from Andrew's original announcement on Reddit, and details how to use the build...

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

Ambush at Amon Hen!

Chris and I were looking to get a game in, but neither of us were feeling anything particularly "sweaty", or "meta" and so opted to do something I have yet to try in ME- play a scenario! With my recently completed fellowship we opted for the Ambush at Amon Hen.
