Hobby Bingo- February Update

Quick post today! Crossed off two new things on the Bingo Card.

Start a new Army: Gondor! I technically painted some of the heroes prior to the new year... but if that doesn't count, then Isengard! I bought a bunch but haven't started painting it yet.
Attend a Middle-earth gaming event: The To War! tournament!
Read or listen to The Hobbit or any of the Lord of the Rings trilogy: I wrapped up the Two Towers and am finishing up reading the Return of the King now!
Play a game against an opponent you have never played before: Played Tim and Garrett who I had not previously played!
Finish a good army of at least 600 points: With the Rangers of Gondor, I officially put my Minas Tirith list above 600 points (actually a lot more if you count Gandalf the White but that's too easy!)
Paint a model within 48 hours of receiving it. Done with Denethor and Irolas- had them painted same day!

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

Ambush at Amon Hen!

Chris and I were looking to get a game in, but neither of us were feeling anything particularly "sweaty", or "meta" and so opted to do something I have yet to try in ME- play a scenario! With my recently completed fellowship we opted for the Ambush at Amon Hen.
